PRAWNS RICE/CHEMMEEN CHORU


Prawns is a best combination with rice.Today I have prepared the recipe with brown rice. Today's Prawns Rice is an easy and simple to cook recipe.First of all I applied masala on prawns and cooked without adding oil or ghee.After drying out all the water I added ghee to it and roasted it.Then I added rice directly and cooked for few minutes .Now our awesome recipe is ready to eat..Let us move to the preparation.

                                   INGREDIENTS
  • Jhinga Prawns               -  10 nos
  • Pepper powder              -  1 tsp full
  • Turmeric powder          -  1/2 tsp
  • Garlic powder               -  3/4 tsp
  • Ginger paste                 -  1/2 tsp
  • Onions finely chopped -  1 tbsp
  • Cooked brown rice       -  2-3 cups . I used here brown rice.
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar                        -  1 tsp
  • Ghee                            -  2 tsp
  • Cheese cube                -  1 
                                 METHOD



  • Take a bowl and mix all ingredients except chopped onion and ghee. No need to add water since water will come out by itself. Allow it to dry and then cook.Add chopped onion to it.


  • Add ghee to it and saute it well for 3-4 mins.Let the masala coats well on prawns .Then add cooked brown rice or basmati rice  to it.



  • Add 2-3 cups of rice to it.Add cheese cube inside the rice and cover it.


  • Taste the salt , if necessary add salt to it and serve hot.


  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

PEAS 'N' SWEET CORN RICE


                     PEAS 'N' SWEET CORN RICE



Today I am preparing a rice item with a combination of peas and sweet corn.We all have had peas and sweet corn in different recipes separately.The combination of these two together can give a really good flavor to the recipe.I just gave a first time trial to this recipe and the final dish was simply awesome.So hereby am sharing this tasty recipe with you all too.

                                                     INGREDIENTS
  •  Basmati rice                        -  2 glass 
  • Ghee                                    -  4 tbsp
  • Onion sliced                        -  1 big 
  • Onion Chopped                   -  1 medium
  • Green chilie slitted              -  4
  • Green chilly paste               -  1 tsp
  • Pepper powder                    -  1/2 tsp + 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala                     -  1/4 tsp
  • Capsicum                            -  1 chopped
  • Sweet corn frozen               -  1 cup
  • Peas frozen                          - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste              - 1 tbsp
  • Salt  to taste
  • Coriander leaves                 -  as required
                                          METHOD
  1. Half Boil the rice,(while cooking add salt )and keep it aside.
  2. Slice the onion and keep aside
  3. Chop the onion and keep aside
  4. Chop the capsicum and keep aside.



  •  Heat a heavy bottom pan and add the required quantity of ghee to it.






  •  When the ghee becomes hot fry the sliced onion to golden brown and keep aside.



  •  In the same oil add the chopped onions.


  •  Add ginger garlic paste to it.


  •  Add green chilly paste to it.

  • Add little garam masala to it.



  •  Add pepper powder to it.


  •  Now start adding sweet corn first.


  •  Then  add peas.


  •  Then add slitted green chilies.


  •  Then add capsicum.


  •  Add salt and saute for 3-4 mins.



  •  Add little more pepper to it.


  •  Finally add the half boiled rice to it.


  •  Level it.



  •  Garnish with fried onions.


  •  Add coriander leaves and dum for 5 mins.


  • Once it is done mix well.




                                  Garnishing with fried onions and coriander leaves!!
                                         Serve hot in a plate along with a Raita!!

VEGETABLE RICE


                                                              VEGETABLE RICE


We all know fried rice and biriyani etc.But today I am preparing just a simple easy Vegetable Rice.This is a mixed vegetable rice and I have used some spices.Let us see how to prepare this yummy Mixed Vegetable Rice..

                                            INGREDIENTS
  •   Rice                              - 2.5 cups soak in water for 40 mins
  • Beans                             -  300 gm
  • Carrot                            -  250 gm
  •  Cabbage                       -  150 gm
  • capsicum                       -  1/2 cup together.
  • Star anise                      -  1
  • Cinnamon                     -  3
  • Cloves                          -  6
  • Pepper powder             -  1/2 tsp full.
  • Water                           -   5 cups
  • Garlic bulb                  -  2 crush it no need to leave the skin
  • Green chilly paste       -   2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste                -  1 tsp
  • Garlic paste                 -  1/2 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup          -  1 tbsp
  • Celery and Spring onion as required
                                           METHOD



  •  Chop all the veggies and keep aside.


  •  Drain the soaked rice and keep that too aside.


  •  Take a heavy bottom pan and heat it.


  •  Add oil to it.


  •  Firstly add the crushed 2 full bulb garlic and fry till golden brown.


  •  Remove that from this pan and add ginger to it.


  •  Add garlic paste too and saute well.


  •  Add green chilly paste too.


  •  Saute well.


  •  Now add veggies one by one. First add the beans.


  •  Next add the carrots.


  •  Saute this for 3 mins in high flame.


  •  Add cabbage and saute it.


  •  Finally add the capsicum and sate well for 2-3 mins .


  •  Add salt to it.


  •  Add tomato ketchup to it and mix well.


  •  Now add the drained rice to it and saute well.



  •  Boil water by adding salt and dry garam masalas.Let it boil for 2 mins.



  •  Add pepper powder to it.


  •  Wait till the water boils.


  •  When it boils add the water through a strainer and remove the masala.


  •  Close it with a tight lid and allow it to cook.


  •  You can see the whole water is drained off.



  •  Mix properly.


  •  Add celery and spring onion.


Serve this on a dish and enjoy with Paneer mixed Veg,  Butter masala or Cauli dry 65!!
