Duck Peralan is an authentic and popular dish of Kerala.Duck is an unavoidable dish in Christian weddings and functions. Kuttanadan Duck is the best of all in Kerala.Today we are preparing this dish by sauting all masalas till the  masala gets properly coated on duck.This is really an awesome dish and now let us see the step by step recipe of our Duck Peralan.

                                              INGREDIENTS
  •  Duck                                  - 1.2 kg pieces
  • Onion                                 - 3 sliced
  • Ginger                                - 1 piece chopped
  • Garlic                                 - 3 tbsp chopped
  • Green chilies                     -  5
  • Coriander powder             -  3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder              -  1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilly powder           -  1 tbsp
  • Garam masala                  -  1/2 tsp
  • Fennel powder                 -  1/4 tsp
  • Pepper powder                 -  1/4 tsp
  • Vinegar                             - 1 tbsp
  • Water
  •  Oil
                                                METHOD



  •  Chop all the vegetables and keep aside.


  •  Cut and clean the meat and keep aside.Do not remove the skin.


  •  Heat a pan  and add oil,ginger to it.


  •  Add chopped garlic to it.

  •  Add sliced onions and green chilies to it.


  •  Saute till it becomes tender.


  •  Add coriander powder to it.


  •  Add turmeric powder to it.


  •  Add garam masala to it.


  •  Add red chilly powder to it and saute well.


  •  Add pepper powder to it.


  •  Add fennel powder to it.


  •  Add duck meat and vinegar to it.


  •  Mix well and add water to it.




  •  When all the masalas gets coated in duck  we can remove from it from the flame.


               Here is your Duck Peralan ready to eat!!!!
