Today we are preparing a dish which has many health benefits.My grandmother used to try out new recipes of her own.One of my favorites among her dishes is Drumstick gravy recipe.This is really a delicious dish.The dish is prepared by boiling in shallots and coconut milk. INGREDIENTS
- Drumctick - 4 cut into finger length pieces
- Shallots crushed - 1/2 cup
- Garlic crushed - 1 tsp
- Green chilies slited - 3
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Coconut milk 2nd - 1.5 cup
- Coconut milk 1st - 1/2 cup
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Mustard seed few
- Curry leaves
METHOD
- Keep ready drumsticks,crushed shallots,chilly and crushed garlic beside.
- Heat a kadai add some oil to it and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add curry leaves to it.
- Then add the crushed garlic to it and saute for a min.
- Add the crushed shallots and green chilies to it and saute till it becomes tender.
- Add salt to it.
- Now add turmeric powder and red chilly powder to it.
- Add the 2nd coconut milk to it.
- Add drumstick too and allow to cook.
- Close it with a lid and cook for 20 mins in low flame . Let it gets thicker.
- Now add the 1st milk.Mix well and now its ready to serve.
