       CARROT AND PEAS  MEZHUKKU PURATTI



Carrot and peas are a very good combination..Here I have used frozen peas..This is a good side dish for meals.Friends try this side dish for sure.I am sure all will like my Carrot and Peas recipe.

                       INGREDIENTS
  • Carrot                         -  3 chop it
  • Frozen peas              -   5 tbsp
  • Onion chopped        -   1/2 cup 
  •  Garlic chopped       -   1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder   -   1/4 tsp
  •  Red chilly powder -   1 tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil
  •  Salt to taste
  • Mustard seeds
  • Water only little required to cook
         
                              METHOD

  • Peel the carrots and chop it finely 1.5 cup.Take frozen peas  5 tbsp.


  • Heat a kadai and add some oil.


  • Splutter the mustard seeds .


  • Add chopped garlic 1tsp to it and saute for a minute.


  • Add chopped onions 1/2 cup to it and saute well.



  • Add curry leaves to it.


  • Add curry leaves to it.

  • Now add red chilly powder 1 heaped tsp and saute well.


  • Add carrots and peas to it.


  • Saute well.


  • Add salt to it and mix well.


  • Now add 1/2 cup of water and mix well.


  • Close it with a lid and cook  in low flame.


  • When all the water dries you can serve it.



Our nutritious Carrot and Peas side dish is now ready!!
