BHINDI MASALA CURRY(LADIES FINGER)
Bhindi (okra) or ladies finger is a vegetable.It is a popular healthy food due to its high fibre, vitamin C,and folate content.It has a good source of calcium and pottassium.Many people used to eat it raw .Its helpful for brain development according to health experts.
INGREDIENTS
- Bhindi - 150 gms
- Onions sliced - 2
- Green chilies - 3 slitted
- Garlic crushed - 1 tsp
- Coconut milk - 2 cups
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala -1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1.5 tsp
- Tomatoes - 1 sliced
- Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- oil
- Salt
- Coriander leaves chopped
METHOD
- Heat a kadai add some oil and shallow fry the bhindi in oil. Keep it aside
- In the same kadai pop the mustard seeds.
- Add the sliced onions and green chilles..
- Add the crushed garlic too.
- Add the coriander powder and saute well.
- Add the chilly powder and turmeric powder.Add garam masala too.
- Now add the fried bhindi and mix well with the masla.
- Add coconut milk and allow it to cook for some time.
- Once the gravy thickens, switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
- This can be serve along with rice, chappathi......
